Spicy Beer Batter
A quick, easy, and fantastic recipe for spicy beer batter.
250g self raising flour
3 teaspoons cumin seed
2 teaspoons turmeric
3 teaspoons curry powder
1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
1 small red chilli finely chopped
2 tablespoons chopped coriander
2 1/2 cups beer OR ice cold water
Pura Canola oil
Put flour, salt and spices into basin. Add beer (or water) and blend to a smooth batter. Leave 10 minutes before using. Dip whiting fillets into batter, drain excess and deep fry in Pura canola oil.
